Assala Energy is an upstream Oil & Gas company focused on mid-life and mature assets and owns one of the largest onshore oil fields in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Company produces c. 42,000 barrels (net) per day from five operating fields (Rabi, Toucan, Koula, Gamba, Bende) and four non-operating fields (Atora, Avocette, Coucal, Tsiengui) with one export terminal. In addition to oil sales, Assala generates tariff revenue from third parties exporting their crude oil through Assala’s pipelines and export terminal. In 2019, the Company acquired three onshore exploration licenses, opening new development opportunities for Assala Gabon. Assala Energy’s strategy is to seek out brown-field assets where an opportunity exists to streamline operations and reduce their carbon footprint by making them more efficient and reduce dependence on commodity prices. Assala also provides a potential platform for further growth in the region.
